Guests can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. Guests will be charged the total amount if cancelled within 6-7 days before arrival. Guests who do not arrive will be charged the full amount.

Aurora Glass Igloos – Sleep Beneath the Arctic Sky At Aurora River Camp, you can choose from 11 Aurora Glass Igloos — each offering a front-row seat to the northern lights.
  • 4 Riverfront Glass Igloos Located right by the Torne River, these igloos offer unobstructed views over the frozen landscape. Perfect for guests who want to feel completely surrounded by nature.
  • 7 Non-Riverfront Glass Igloos Situated slightly higher in the camp area, these igloos offer the same comfort and panoramic glass design, with peaceful surroundings and quick access to the Aurora Lounge.

All igloos are fully heated, modern, and designed with Scandinavian simplicity — featuring a comfortable double bed (140 × 200 cm), private toilet, and floor-to-ceiling glass for maximum Aurora visibility.

The Aurora Lounge – Exclusive Comfort for Igloo Guests & Moose Cabin

At the center of Aurora River Camp lies our Aurora Lounge, a warm and inviting space reserved exclusively for Aurora Glass Igloo guests and guests staying in the Moose Cabin.

Here you’ll find everything you need for comfort and convenience:

  • A fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals
  • A bright dining area where you can cook and enjoy your own meals in a cozy, social setting.
  • A sofa lounge for relaxing or planning your next Arctic adventure
  • Two small rooms for reading or quiet time
  • Several modern bathrooms with hot showers

It’s the perfect indoor retreat after a night beneath the stars.

Cozy Cabins – Comfort & Privacy in the Upper Camp

In the upper part of the camp, you’ll find six traditional wooden cabins, each with a private bathroom and kitchen.

These cabins are warm, self-contained, and ideal for couples, families, or longer stays. We’ve chosen not to include TVs — because the greatest show here happens outside, in the Arctic sky.

Moose Cabin – Cozy Simplicity with Lounge Access

Our newly renovated Moose Cabin offers a cozy and allergy-friendly stay for two.

Inside, Scandinavian simplicity meets natural comfort — with a real queen-size continental bed (160 × 200 cm), two lounge chairs, and soft tones inspired by the Lapland landscape.

Please note that the Moose Cabin does not have its own bathroom or kitchen, but guests enjoy full access to the Aurora Lounge, located just 20 meters away. There you’ll find a kitchen, dining area, sofa lounge, relaxation rooms, and several modern bathrooms with hot showers.

Arriving at the Camp

Getting Here

Aurora River Camp is located 15 minutes from Kiruna Airport. We offer pick-up and drop-off services for guests. If you prefer flexibility, renting a car is recommended for exploring the region.

Please note: in Arctic winter conditions, snow can be deep. If your vehicle becomes stuck, guests are responsible for arranging towing assistance, as camp staff cannot provide vehicle recovery. We’re happy to advise on safe driving and local contacts if needed.

Food, Groceries & Essentials

Across the river in Jukkasjärvi (accessible by car all year and on foot over the ice in winter), you’ll find a small supermarket for groceries and essentials.

Alcohol can be purchased at Systembolaget in Kiruna. Many guests enjoy preparing their own Arctic meals in the camp — from reindeer stew to simple barbeques under the northern lights.

Arctic Driving Driving in Lapland is part of the adventure!

We recommend renting a car to explore the surrounding region, but please remember that winter conditions can be challenging. If your vehicle becomes stuck, it’s the driver’s responsibility to arrange towing assistance. Our staff will be happy to give advice and help with local contacts if needed.
