At Aurora River Camp, you can choose between two types of cabins, all designed for warmth and comfort in the Arctic climate. Each cabin has its own unique personality — blending Scandinavian simplicity with the peaceful atmosphere of Lapland.
Cabins with Private Kitchen & Bathroom
Six of our cabins are fully equipped with a private bathroom and kitchen, giving you independence and comfort throughout your stay. These cabins are ideal for couples, families, or travelers who enjoy the privacy of their own space while still being surrounded by nature. Every cabin is heated, well-insulated, and furnished in a cozy Nordic style — perfect for relaxing after a day of Arctic adventures.
You won’t find TVs here — because the real show happens outside your window. Step onto your veranda, look up at the Aurora Borealis, and enjoy the silence of Swedish Lapland.
Moose Cabin – Cozy Simplicity with Lounge Access
Our newly renovated Moose Cabin is designed for two guests seeking a peaceful and allergy-friendly stay. Inside, Scandinavian design meets natural warmth — featuring a real queen-size continental bed (160 × 200 cm), two lounge chairs, and calm tones inspired by the Lapland landscape.
This cabin does not have its own bathroom or kitchen, but includes exclusive access to our Aurora Lounge, located just 20 meters away. There you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, sofa lounge, relaxation rooms, and several modern bathrooms with hot showers.

Cabin #1
Artic Fox
This quaint cabin can host 2 people and is ideal for couples. Inside, you have a 3-piece washroom, shower and kitchenette. A wooden staircase leads to a loft where you will find the beds, which can be pushed together if needed.
The veranda in the front is the perfect spot to hang out and enjoy the Aurora at night.

Good to know
Guests can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. Guests will be charged the total amount if cancelled within 6-7 days before arrival. Guests who do not arrive will be charged the full amount.
Prepayment – Guests are required to prepay the total amount and can do so at any time.

Cabin #2
Wolverine
This more spacious cabin is ideal for travelling friends and hosts 2 guests but can accommodate 4 guests upon request. It includes a 3-piece washroom, a fully stocked kitchen, a refrigerator, and a dining table facing a beautiful view.
Beds are located in the loft area, accessible by a wooden staircase. At night, enjoy the gorgeous aurora lights on the veranda out front.

Reindeer
This 1-storey cabin sleeps 2 and is ideal for travellers who prefer to avoid climbing up to sleep in overhead lofts. It has a 3-piece washroom, kitchenette, couch for lounging, and bunk beds in a bedroom.
The front veranda has a bench, ideal for star gazing at night or watching the Aurora over a cup of hot tea.

Moose Cabin – Allergy friendly (Pickup & Drop-off, Breakfast & Sauna included)
Experience the Arctic Circle in comfort at our newly renovated Moose Cabin — a cozy double cabin designed for two.
Inside, Scandinavian simplicity meets warmth and natural materials. The cabin features a real queen-size bed, a small sitting area with two lounge chairs and a round stone-look table, and calm tones inspired by the surrounding Lapland landscape.
Please note that the cabin itself does not have a private bathroom or kitchen, but you’ll find everything you need just 20 meters away in our Guest Lounge — including a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, sofa lounge, two small rooms for relaxing, and several modern bathrooms with hot showers.
Your stay includes a breakfast buffet, sauna time, and pickup & drop-off in the Kiruna area, allowing you to enjoy the best of Arctic comfort without worrying about logistics.
Wake up to peaceful surroundings, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and unwind in our riverside sauna after a day of exploration.

Travelling to the Camp
Aurora River Camp is located about 12 km from the centre of Kiruna and only 15 minutes from Kiruna Airport. Public transport to the camp is very limited, so we recommend arranging a transfer with us or renting a car during your stay.
We offer flexible shared transfers between 08:00 and 21:00, scheduled according to guest arrival and departure times. Whenever possible, we coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs for guests travelling around the same time to make transfers smooth and efficient.
Our driver can meet you at Kiruna Airport, the train station, or central Kiruna hotels, and bring you directly to the camp.
Price: 350 SEK per person each way Operating hours: 08:00 – 21:00 daily
Please contact us in advance with your preferred time and location so we can plan your transfer accordingly.
Transferring to and from the Airport
We offer shared transfers between Aurora River Camp and Kiruna Airport between 08:00 and 21:00 daily. Pick-up and drop-off times are arranged according to guest arrivals and departures, and we sometimes coordinate transfers for guests travelling around the same time.
When arriving in Kiruna, our driver will meet you at the airport and make a short stop at a supermarket in Kiruna, so you can buy groceries and essentials for your stay before heading to the camp.

Experience the Arctic Sky
The sky above Kiruna is alive with light — glowing with the Aurora Borealis from September to April, and illuminated by the Midnight Sun for eight magical weeks in summer.
Experience both from the comfort of Aurora River Camp, where you can build a fire, enjoy a barbeque dinner, and stargaze from one of our cozy firepits as the northern lights appear above the Torne River. During winter, when the river freezes solid, guests can even walk across the ice to visit the world-famous Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi.
